The stallion stood watching over the open feild with calm dark eyes. The wind danced between the strands of his tail and mane spreading them across his flank and neck. He flicked his ear as a distant horse whinnied. Taking a deep breath of the seabreeze, nostrils flared he raised his head to the sky and exhailed. With a sudden burst of spirit he bolted into gallop, tail raised like a vicotious war banner. He shook his head in pure joy sending his silken mane flying and whipping his neck. This made him jump and buck excitedly, spinning and broncking. The true ecstacy of being free flooded his body after being cramped in a holding pen for a few days. After a few minutes of frantic running he slowed down and gave a final rear, kicking his legs at the air and stamping his back hooves.
