Turner trotted into the park with Jessica on his back. She just bought him and he seemed to take well to her. She hadn't even taken him home yet. "Come on, boy. Good." she said petting him as he slowed to a walk. He stopped and lowered his head to eat the grass along the trail. Jessica hopped off and tied his lead rope to a bar that was made for that. Making sure it was good and tight, she sat on a bench.

Luke was out for a ride on the new mare, Cally. She trotted through the park quietly with Luke squared in the saddle. Seeing someone sitting on the bench he decided to inroduce himself. "Whoa," he said pulling back on reins. Cally slowed to a stop easily. Sliding from the saddle, he nodded his head at the woman. "Hello, there." He said grasping the reins firmly when he saw the stallion, not knowing how he would act. |

Jessica pulled her hand away from Turner's shoulder and looked up at the man on the horse. She stood up and soother Turner, who was now neighing and nickering at the mare and her rider. He calmed and continued to eat. "You have a beautiful mare." said Jessica finally, turning back to the man. "My name is Jessica." she said.

"Luke," he said holding out his hand. Cally pranced a little as the stallion seemed eager but she was already bred so she wasn't taking to much interest. She lowered her head and pulled at some grass that was growing under her feet. "You're new here?" he said asking it as a question though he already knew the answer. |

Jessica nodded and shook his hand. "Well nice to meet you. And yes, I just moved here." she told him. She pulled th scrunchie off her wrist and pulled her long brown hair up in a ponytail. "Me and my brother live at Oakland Ridge." Turner pulled against his rope and nickered to his new owner. Jessica laughed and untied him. She brought him over to meet the mare and her owner. Turner eyed Cally and Luke and shook out his mane.

Luke grinned. "It is nice to meet you." he said. "I live over at River Run. Really I just work there. My good friend owns it and lets me stay there." Cally nickered and backed away from the stud. She pawed impatiently at the ground her eyes getting a little wider. |

Turner snorted and reared about an inch off the ground. "Sshh Turner. Good boy." she whispered to the impatient stallion. He calmed and laid his ears back on his head. "Cool I here it's really pretty over there." she said. "How do you like living there?"

"Yeah, it is really nice. My friend lets me live there but only if I work my butt off for her." He gave a chuckled and grinned. "It's a good thing I don't mind working and she had pretty nice horses too." |

"That's nice...I think." she laughed. She petted Turner and patted his shoulder. "It's good you like it there." she said looking back. "I really like the new farm that me and my brother just bought. I'm so glad to have a place pretty much to myself." she explained. "What's her name?" she asked as she softly stroked Cally's nose.

Luke shook his head. "We call her Cally. She's pretty new to the ranch, just got her a few days ago. Supposed to foal in a couple months we're told." He patted her neck and she bobbed her head silently shaking out her mane. |

"Oh wow! I figured she was pregnant. Either that or she ate a lot." Jessie laughed patting the mare on her neck. Turner was getting jealous of the mare's attention and snorted. Jessica smiled and rub his nose. Still stroking him she turned back to Luke. "My little Quarter Horse colt is pretty hyper. He loves to run around and would play all day if I kept him outside all day." she smiled thinking about the little colt.

Luke laughed a little at the woman's words. "My friend's mare just had a filly yesterday. She tiny bu has a lot of spunk. We have a quarter filly that loves to run to play. She's drives our studs crazy." He laughed then thinking of Lilly ripping through the pasture. |

Jessica laughed imagining the angry stallions watching the funny little filly. "Sounds like they'd be good friends. Our colt is 8 months old." she told him. She imagined the little foals running around together. Freddy no doubt would be larger than the little newborn filly, but she could tell they'd be good friends. "Maybe when she is a little bigger, she can come over and visit Freddy. Or I could bring him to your farm sometime."

Luke shook his head. A playdate? he questioned in his head. Then thinking again he thought maybe if this was a good looking colt it would be a good pair for the quarter filly when she got older. She was only 5 months now but she'd grow. He kept his thoughts to himself though and just petted Cally's neck. "You should come over for a little tour sometime." |

"I'll make sure that I do." she smiled. She looked back at Cally thinking about how her foal would look. Jessica was also thinking about the two making a good pair for breeding, but she'd have to see the filly first. She thought Freddy would be good for breeding.
