Jessica sang quietly as she led the little filly to the pasture. Typically, Tilly would have been introduced to the pasture long before. But Jessica had only just bought the filly and the land. She led her into the pasture and closed the fence. "Ok Tilly. Away!" she commanded firmly and kindly. The filly kicked he back legs in the air and walked slowly through the pasture. She was timid at first but soon she was galloping around like the happiest in the world. She trotted back as Jessica laughed. "Here you go, girl." she whispered, handing Tilly a lump of sugar.

David walked out holding a sheet of paper. Jessica turned around and waved. "What's that?" David had an angry look on his face. "Uh oh. What's that?" Jessie asked putting her hands on her hips. "It's a letter from the bank." Jessie ran over. "What! Did something happen to your account?" David laughed but it wasn't happy. It was more like "Why's this happening to me?" "Jessica this is from your account! Four thousand dollars were taken from the account!" Jessie looked sick. "What?" she stared at the letter and read each word carefully. "David, I spent the money." David looked like he was going to explode. "WHAT?!? What in the world costs that much?" Jessie backed up.

David turned around a little embarrased that someone heard them. Jessica was quick to explain. "We just had a disagreement on how to spend the money. I hadn't told David of my plans to buy some herbs to ensure twin foals and he was a little angry that I spent...well $4,000." she said. Now she was a little bit surprised she had spent that much.
David turned and planted his hands firmly on the fence behind him. Tilly trotted up to the fence and seemed concerned as she whinnied her arrival. David patted her neck. "Four thousand dollars!" he said exhaling sharply. He started to calm down though as Tilly tried to bite at his clothes.

Steven puffed out his cheeks. ''It's a lot of money. But if you're gunna' get some good foals then I guess you'll get the money back.'' he said. ''Who are you breeding?'' he asked.

Jessica's turn to talk. "Hopefully Turner and Sky, or Sky and maybe one of your studs. But then of course that's more money...but I mean it would be really great to get some good experienced studs with her." With this David had to agree. And the more he thought about it, the better twins sounded. "Ok...twins would be good, and I guess I would've bought them eventually. Plus it was your money, Jessie." he said. Jessica grinned. "Is that your version of an apology?" she laughed. David sighed and shrugged.

Steven smiled as David gave in, ''Is it her first breeding? If it is both out stallions are great with first time mares." he smiled.

Jessica nodded and looked back at Tilly. She wasn't ready to breed, but Jessie doubted she was going to keep her very long. She loved the filly, but they had decided on Thoroughbreds and Arabians, so Tilly was just taking space. She sighed and patted the filly who was now very interested in this person she'd never met. Tilly nipped at his shirt and sniffed at his hand.

Steven laughed and scratched the filly's nose. He took a sugar lump from his pocket and fed the young horse.

Jessie watched Tilly eagerly take the sugar and gulp it down, quickly returning to Steven's hand for another. She smiled but looked back tot he pasture, her mind racing through her thoughts silently. She had bought Tilly mainly to raise her up and keep her from living in the horse sales for a while. Most people wanted trained horses that they could breed or event. She new there were some who would love Tilly, but she really needed to find her a home now. Or atleast after she'd worked with her some. Tilly was young but maybe she could start working on her slight fear of other horses and get her ready to be introduced to others. She leaned over the fence and stared toward the pasture.

Steven frowned looking at Jessie, "You look distant." he said joining her at the fence.

Jessie couldn't help but laugh. She stood up straight and sighed. "I guess I'm just nervous about Tilly's future." David was pacing around mumbling about numbers and figuring things in his head. She glanced over at him and then turned back to Steven. "She hasn't been worked with so she's behind, and I didn't really think about the breeds I'm going to work with when I bought her. She just looked sad so I got her. Now I'm thinking she should have gone with someone else." she explained. She looked back at tilly who was searching Steven's pockets and nipping at his shirt.
